There are so many gift ideas for groomsmen to choose from, however, the real challenge is how to choose the unique ones. You want nothing but the best for your groomsmen, and choosing creative gifts for them can help you show how much you appreciate their effort and presence.

It has always been a nice gesture to give gifts in weddings, especially to the important people involved in the overall preparation of the event. Among these people are groomsmen. These gentlemen were picked not only to stand next to you on the day of your wedding, but they are also entrusted with lots of things to be done before the big day arrives. They are most likely your closest friends who will always be there for you no matter what. On the end, presenting unique groomsmen gifts for them would surely let them know how thankful you are as their friend. Below are some alternative gift ideas to traditional groomsmen gifts that are sure to delight and impress your loyal friends.

Gift Baskets

Think beyond traditional gift baskets. Remember that your recipients are men and giving them a gift basket full of flowers or chocolates will likely to be embarrassing. Think of giving a gift basket filled with barware. That is a fun idea to really delight your groomsmen who love beers and wines. You can come up with gift baskets that contain a bottle opener, a wine stopper, a beer stein, a wine glass, a shot glass and other barware you may think of adding in the basket. Last but not the least, do not forget to include a bottle of wine or a few cans of beer in each basket, or other treats that are best paired with these alcohol refreshments.

Tickets

If your groomsmen are into sports, you may think of giving them sports game tickets to let them watch their favorite sports team live, for free! The tickets will send them to sports event wherein they can also enjoy the presence of their friends, making a great bonding moment before you will get hitched to your bride-to-be. Other tickets you may think of include movie, theatrical show and concert tickets.

Gift Certificates

Another unique gift idea you can offer to your groomsmen are gift certificates. These certificates will never go you wrong, especially if you want them to choose the gift they like personally. You can give your groomsmen gift certificates that will send them to their favorite grocery store, mall, book store or even spa.

How long do I bake a shot glass in the oven after it has been painted/decorated?

Me and my friend bought plain shot glasses and were going to use paint that is safe on glass (acrylic?) to decorate them. And it says you should paint them, give them a day to dry, and then bake them in the oven. But it does not say a temperature or how long you do it. Any ideas? Thank you!

This site
http://www.michaels.com/art/online/displayArticle?articleNum=ae0034
gives very detailed steps and discusses the choices (I would point to the cleaning step) with the rather important consideration for your question of not saying what is “the desired temperature”
However, a trip to the website for the paint maker http://www.pebeo.com/asp/prod/fiche.asp?lang=us&id=17 yields the news that the 160 in the name of the paint means 160°C (325°F) in a domestic oven.
Note that this does not necessarily apply to other acrylic paints and you might wish to check their web sites and run a test piece if using other acrylic paints not aimed at glass.
